Contraception

There are many accessible, affordable options for contraception (birth control) in Memphis. These range from condoms to long-acting reversible contraceptives such as the Nexplanon implant or an IUD. In Tennessee, anyone older than 16 or married is elgible for birth control without parental consent.  For more information about your options check out Bedsider.

Planned  Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and Northern Mississippi provides community members with affordable access to contraception and contraception education. They offer many contraceptive options including condoms, implants, birth control pills, and IUDs. You can also set up a birth control education meeting to find out what would work best for you!

A Step Ahead

A Step Ahead offers free IUD and Implants to people in the Memphis community. If you are unsure of what birth control would be best for you, they can help you determine which option is best. They offer appointments at Christ Community Health Services, Regional One Health, Memphis Health Center, Inc., and the Shelby County Health Department.

Choices offers comprehensive reproductive health care. Choices has many contraceptive options and offers counseling to help determine what method is best for each individual.

Christ Community Health is a comprehensive primary care clinic with locations throughout Memphis. They offer family planning information and a variety of birth control methods in a more traditional clinical setting.
